Overview

ClickToResume is designed so you can use the resume builder without creating an account. The resume information you enter into the builder is handled in your browser for the purpose of creating and previewing your document.

Resume data

The builder may contain personal information you choose to enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, work history, education, skills, projects, and professional links. The current builder stores that working draft locally in your browser rather than requiring you to submit it to a ClickToResume account.

PDF creation uses your browser's print functionality. Word export is generated from the information in the builder so you can save a local copy.

Contact messages

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are transmitted to ClickToResume so the site operator can receive and respond to your message. Contact-form information is separate from your locally stored resume draft. Please include only what is needed to answer your question or feedback and avoid sending passwords, financial information, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive information.

Local browser storage

ClickToResume uses local browser storage to remember your working resume draft and builder preferences on that browser. Local storage can remain after you close the tab, but it can be removed if you clear site data, use private browsing, reset the resume, or switch to another device or browser.

You can remove the saved resume draft by using the builder's Start New Resume option or by clearing this site's browser storage.

Third-party services

Some site features may rely on third-party services delivered over the internet, such as web fonts or the library used to create editable Word documents. Those providers may receive ordinary technical request information such as an IP address when your browser requests their resources, subject to their own privacy practices.

Advertising and analytics

The current site layout includes reserved advertising areas, but a placeholder is not itself an advertisement and does not place an advertising cookie. If ClickToResume enables third-party advertising or analytics services in the future, this policy should be updated to identify those services and explain any cookies, identifiers, consent choices, or data collection they use before those services are launched.

Security

Keeping the resume draft in your browser reduces the need to maintain an account database for builder content, but no device, browser, website, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect access to your own device and review downloaded files before sharing them.

Your choices

You choose what information to enter in the builder. You can edit or remove resume content at any time, start a new local draft, clear browser storage, or download a copy for your own records. For questions about the site or information submitted through the contact form, use the contact page.
